  1. MS have reissued the update KB2412171 on January 11th. It has just caused my Outlook to break, it keeps asking me for passwords every time I open Outlook. I removed the update via add/remove programs and the problem went away.

  3. I have had this issue on 5 machines so far and the only solution on the two I have had time to tend to were complete removal of the office suite and at times had to have a Microsoft uninstall program remove it for me due to some conflicting issues. Very buggy topic. But none the less, several restarts later and a compelte reinstall and slowly updating everything but that update then denying it throught he AD GPO that took care of the issue we were having.

  4. Go to Start Run then type regedit and hit enter.

    Navigate to:

    HKEY Local Machine\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Right click uninstall and select find. Type kb2412171 and hit enter.

Look in the right window pane and find the uninstallstring.

Double click it and copy the value there.

Now open a command prompt and paste the uninstall string in there.

    Hit enter and enjoy!
